Brentwood Capital Advisors has added to its ranks a veteran financial professional to lead the firm’s business services practice.
John Allgood comes to Cool Springs-based BCA from the private-equity group of Harbert Management Corp., a Birmingham-based alternative asset management firm. There, the graduate of Washington & Lee University scouted for investment and acquisition opportunities and connecting with middle-market intermediaries. Prior to his stay at Harbert, Allgood worked in real estate and equipment finance. He is a native of Mobile, Ala.
“We are delighted to have John join our team” said Kevin Murphy, managing partner at BCA. “He brings proven relationship management skills and industry expertise to the firm.”
BCA also has promoted several of its team members. Co-founder and partner Nick Carteaux has been promoted to managing director, while L.A. Galyon — who heads up the firm’s health care services practice — has been promoted to director. In addition, Amanda Barnard has been promoted to associate and Becky Gregg has been promoted to senior analyst.
Since its founding in 1999, BCA has been the exclusive financial advisor in more than 50 deals in the health care, information technology, financial services and business services sectors.
